Your care circle

How to let someone help with your records, exactly what they can see, and how to stop it.

Care rarely happens alone. Your care circle is the people you have authorized on a profile, and what each of them may do.

Inviting someone

From the care circle screen, invite them by email. They receive a link, set up their own account, and from then on the profile appears in their ChartKey alongside their own. They never see your password, and you never see theirs.

What they can be allowed to do

Access is specific rather than all-or-nothing. The things that can be granted:

• view the timeline
• view documents
• add symptoms and notes
• manage sharing
• manage other people in the circle
• manage connections to clinics

You choose which of those apply.

How this stays under control

Two things are always true. Access is granted, not assumed: someone in your circle has no view of your health information until it is given. And you can revoke it at any time, which takes effect immediately.

Every look at your record is written to an access log you can read, including access by us if it ever happens for support. Nothing about who saw what is hidden from you.

Managing someone else's records

The same structure works in reverse: if you set up a profile for a child or a parent, you manage it and they need no account of their own. If they later want their own sign-in, they can be invited to claim the profile, and it becomes theirs with you still in the circle.
