What is Keeper?
Keeper is ChartKey's AI companion. What it does, what it never does, and how it uses your records.
Keeper is the companion at the center of ChartKey. You can talk with Keeper by voice or by typing — ask a question about your records, mention how you've been feeling, or just think out loud. Keeper listens, remembers what belongs in your chart, and keeps an eye on the follow-ups your own records mention.
What Keeper is — and isn't
Keeper is an AI — not a doctor or nurse, and not a substitute for clinical care. That line appears on Keeper's screen because it is the honest description, not fine print. Keeper never diagnoses, never treats, and never tells you a clinician is wrong. For medical decisions, talk to a licensed clinician.
What Keeper actually does
- Listens and remembers. When you tell Keeper something that belongs in your health story — a symptom, a change, a question for your next visit — it is written to your chart the same careful way a connected hospital record is, and you can always see what was written.
- Reads your records, so you don't have to. Keeper can look things up in your own chart when you ask — recent results, medication lists, visit notes.
- Notices follow-ups. When a clinician's note mentions something due later — a recheck, a screening, a referral — Keeper can surface it as a suggestion. You decide what to accept; nothing is added to your plan without you.
Where Keeper's answers come from
Keeper's answers about your health come from your records — never from guessing. If it can't find something in your chart, it says so.
Your controls
You choose Keeper's voice, or turn voice off entirely and type instead. Every conversation is yours: what Keeper writes to your chart is visible in your timeline, and your data rights — export and delete — cover it like everything else. See Your data rights.
