What ChartKey does not do
The honest limits, so you know what still needs your portal, your phone, or your clinician.
Knowing the edges is more useful than a feature list.
It does not replace your patient portal
You will still use your hospital's portal to message your care team, book or change appointments, request refills, pay a bill, and see anything that portal shows but does not share through the standard interface. ChartKey reads; your portal is where you act.
It does not contact anyone for you
ChartKey does not send your health information to clinicians, family, or anyone else on your behalf. There is no button that transmits your record to a third party. When something is shared, you are the one doing it, in front of you.
It is not a clinician, and Keeper is not one either
No diagnosis, no treatment plans, no interpretation of what your specific result means, no telling you whether to be worried. Keeper is explicit about this. For anything about your health, your care team is the answer.
It is not an emergency service
If something is urgent, call your local emergency number. Nothing here is monitored in real time by a person.
It holds what your clinics share, not everything they have
Records arrive through a defined interface, which is a specific set of information rather than a copy of everything in their system. Categories can differ between two of your clinics, and some things (billing detail, scanned images) usually do not come across. See Reading your chart.
It cannot correct your clinic's record
We hold a copy. Corrections happen at the organization that owns the record, and then flow here. See Something looks wrong in my records.
